Antique Victorian Era Footed Cake Stand by G L Ashworth & Bros Antique Victorian Era Footed Cake Stand by G L Ashworth & Bros-19 Century Description Fabulous Antique Victorian Era Footed Cake Stand by G L Ashworth & Bros Vintage from the 19th century. Height: 5" 9 1/4 " in diameter Antique Footed Cake Stand / Pedestal Fruit Bowl, this footed stand features a country scene in the center and green band around the edge. Made in the late 1800's by G.L. Ashworth & Bros. in Hanley, Staffordshire, England, stamped on the bottom with their mark. Very Good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches but does show crazing, please see photos as they are part of the description. G L Ashworth & Bros is a pottery firm operating Hanley, Staffordshire, (one of the six towns that make up the potteries area) circa 1861-1968. In 1968 the company continued but was renamed Mason’s Ironstone China Ltd. The backstamp dates the piece to between 1862 and 1891, as the backstamp features the Royal Coat of Arms but not “England”. The Royal Coat of Arms is in the centre of the backstamp, surrounded by a circular belt and buckle and the initials G.L.A.& Bros. The 7591 pattern number is hand-painted. It is in very good condition considering it’s over 100 years old, with no chips or cracks or pattern loss/fading. As pictured. Payment ~ I accept Paypal.The payment is expected within 3 days.
