Androck pastry cutter/pie dough blender w/ Green painted wood handle 7 prongs This pastry cutter has a handle about 4 inches across that fits very nicely in the hand. The wooden handle has no cracks or splits but there is slight loss of paint and patina on the metal due to use and age. From the handle to the base of the prongs is about 5.25 inches. The prongs span about 1.75 inches. It is unique in that it has seven steel prongs while most latter Androck pastry cutters have only six. This kitchen tool is used for blending butter or shortening into the flour to form a tender pastry dough which can take your baking to another level. It is marked “Androck Patented 11-12-1929 MADE IN U.S.A.” Aluminum Biscuit Cookie Doughnut Cutter w/ Green painted handle knob This is unbranded but it has the same style of the handle and paint color as the pastry cutter that is marked Androck. The easy to grip wooden handle knob has no cracks or splits but there is slight loss of paint and patina on the metal due to use and age. It is about 3 inches tall. The outer circle has a diameter of about 2.75 inches. The inner circle has a diameter of about 1.25 inches. It is unique in that it still has its center small ring for doughnuts and the center ring can twist off from the screws for cookies and biscuits and then twist back on conveniently for doughnuts. The Washburn Company owned the Androck line of very popular kitchen gadgets produced in the 1920’s.with their colorful painted wooden handles. The Washburn company was later acquired by the Robin Steel Corporation in 1967 and through this company, the Androck line continued until well into the 1970’s. These classic style wooden kitchen utensils are sturdy enough for continued use but they also make wonderful display pieces in farmhouse, rustic, or mid century retro kitchen decors. They can be displayed alone or with other vintage kitchen utensils in a stoneware crock, bowl, basket, on a shelf and still be available for use if wanted.
